BJP will win Silchar seat, claims AGP

SILCHAR, April 28: BJP candidate Kabindra Purkayastha would definitely win the Silchar LS seat with a thumping majority, claimed AGP’S central committee joint secretary Bimalendu Singh. Singh argued that the entire votes of AGP had been cast in favour of Purkayastha, which would pave his way for an easy victory.

Singh further claimed that the main fight in Silchar would be in between the BJP and the AUDF and Congress candidate Sontosh Mohan Dev would be how here in the picture.
Singh was so much confident about Purkayastha’s victory that he even claimed that if the latter does not win he would resign from AGP’s central committee.

Commenting on the state scenario, Singh claimed that the AGP would win in Dibrugarh, Lakimpur, Tezpur and Barpeta whereas, in Kaliabor, chances of AGP’S winning was also very bright, though Congress might pose a tough challenge for the regional party.

In Mangoldoi also, BJP and Congress would be in one-to one fight. Singh further maintained that AUDF chief Badrauddin Ajmal had a bright chance of winning the Barpeta seat. THE SENTINEL
