The election result of Silchar comes as a stunning blow to Sri S.M. Dev,the self-declared formidable candidate here. The people got very much annoyed with hurting remarks of Sri Dev and his wife, Smt. Bithika Dev e.g.
People of Silchar has no civic sense.
"Shaharer Babu bibira Amake Vote de na" etc.
Most of the period of his lat five year tenure as MP and Minister Sri Dev spent his time with the minority leaders and in minority areas, but it seems they have also ditched him alike. The fiasco over primary facilities like road, communication, price rise all came to his discredit.

People chose the better alternative, Sri Kabindra Purkayastha, Ex-Minister and a teacher, candidate of BJP to oust Mr. Dev.

What will Kabindra do sitting at the opposition? There will be no development in the barak valley for the next 5 years. We know what kabindra did the last time when he was a minister. People of barak valley did a mistake by no voting for Santosh Mohan Dev.

I know Mr. Kabindra closely and I had seen him last time when he was a mininster, once I and few of my friends went to met him in delhi when he was a minister and our eyes did not believed what we had seen of him..he is not at all an honest and moral man and i would say that the barak valley made a big mistake by electing him.All old leaders must quit paving a way for the new generation. He is simple a rotten man
