NEW DELHI, June 2 – All MPs from Assam, barring Bijoya Chakraborty, Dip Gogoi, Badruddin Ajmal and Biren Singh Ingti who took oath in English, today took oath in Assamese. .
First time MPs, Joseph Toppo, Ramen Deka, besides Union Minister Bijoy Krishna Handique, Rajen Gohain, Paban Singh Ghatowar, Ranee Narah, Ismail Hussain all took oath in Assamese. BJP MP Kabindra Purkayastha took oath in Sanskrit, while Lalit Mohan Suklabaidya took oath in Bengali. ASSAM TRIBUNE
