Meet highlights importance of value-based education

KAMPUR, July 8 – The brilliant students of Kampur Sankardeb Bidya Niketan who brought laurels to the school in the last HSLC examination were accorded a warm felicitations at a meeting held in the school premises.

The felicitation meeting presided over by Labanya Laskar, retired Inspector of Schools and president of Kampur Sankardeb Bidya Niketan was attended by a number of educationists and distinguished personalities, besides a good number of teachers, guardians and students.

Attending the meeting as appointed speakers, Sudhamoy Das an official of Bidya Bharati and Nripen Barman, organising secretary of stressed the need of value-based education, which according to them definitely moulds the characters of the students and enables them to engage in nation-building activities.

It may be mentioned that Sankardeb Bidya Niketan of Kampur stole the show at Kampur HSLC centre with cent percent results. Out of 36 successful students 17 secured first division, 13 second division and six got third division. The students who expelled in games and sports were also felicitated.

Earlier, the permanent dais of the school constructed under the MP Areas Development Fund was inaugurated by Dhiren Kakati, a retired Headmaster and a literature.

Dambarudhar Saikia, Pradhan Acharyya of Kampur Sankardeb Bidya Niketan in his annual report narrated in detail about the progress of the school since its inception in 1992 braving tremendous adds over the years. The Pradhan Acharyya was also felicitated by the president.
