SILCHAR, July 26: State DGP GM Srivastava virtually ruled out the possibility of ULFA coming out for discussion in the near future. He, however, claimed that the backbones of maximum militant outfits in the State have virtually been broken down as police, in the recent times, successfully arrested militants of the Black Widow and liquidated a good number of hard core ultras belonging to various militant outfits. Srivastava, who visited Silchar where he was accorded a warm reception by the police of three districts informally spoke to the media. He said, ULFA ‘commander-in-chief’ Paresh Baruah is at present busy expanding his business domain in Bangladesh while another top rank leader Shasha Choudhury is completely under control of the Pak intelligence wing ISI. It is through Choudhury that the ISI was targeting Asom, Srivastava hinted. SOURCe: THE SENTINEL
