Niranjan Hojai hints at floating party

SILCHAR, Oct 5: Apprehending attacks by other militant outfits active in the NC Hills on the surrendered cadres of the Black Widow, Niranjan Hojai, the self-styled commander-in-chief of the Dimasa outfit, urged the State Government to immediately fulfil its pledge to raise a police battalion with the surrendered militants. In an exclusive interview with The Sentinel over telephone from Haflong, Hojai hinted that they had kept the option of stepping into politics open, though the final decision would be taken once their jailed supremo Jewel Garlosa was freed. “Congress, BJP and ASDC are same. They capitalized the name of Black Widow to squeeze money from the Autonomous Council Coffer, resulting the horrible condition of the district,” maintaining this Hojai said, they would keep close vigil on the functioning of the council. He did not rule out the possibility of forming a political party in near future. THE SENTINEL
