Places of Tourist Attractions in Tripura

Tripura is a land of secrets in the remotest northeast hills in India. This place dominates the picturesque and vast lush green valleys along with lofty mist clad hills. Tripura offers a pleasant and extraordinarily peaceful relief to the tourists. Though, small in size but it has much more to present to its traveler’s delight.

Although, this place has many spots for attraction including Agartala; Unakoti; Kunjaban Palace; Neermahal Palace; Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary; Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary; Pilak & Venuban Vihara; Deotamura; Kumarghat; Jampui Hill; Dumboor Lake  etc.

Deotamura – is a sacred place very famous for rock-cut images on the banks of River and provide refreshing and peaceful view to its tourists. Unakoti – is also housing numerous rock carvings and mural in their primitive beauty. These rock carvings have found places in Hindu mythology and thus numerous stories are prevalent adding history to them. Lush green surroundings make it more attractive and beautiful. Agartala – being capital of Tripura has many temples and Buddhist sites besides Ujjavanta Palace, a showcase to magnificent tile floor, extraordinary ceilings and curved wood doors with huge mughal style gardens. Here are also the Tribal Museum and State Museum adding spice to the historical background of this state. Kunjaban Palace and Neermahal Palace are also royal, beautiful and mughal inspired palaces on the island in Rudrasagar Lake. Kumarghat in north Tripura is known for its pineapple cultivation which is done on extensive basis and is the main occupation of people here. Jampui Hill –It is the highest hill range of this state providing excellent and beautiful sceneries Dumboor Lake – One the main tourist attraction this lake is packed with vegetation and is surrounded by picturesque hills. Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary –Besides rare spectacled monkey and deer there more than 150 species of birds in this vast and beautiful sanctuary, this place has various rare flora and fauna. Venuban Vihara is the various Hindu and Buddhist stone images in these places and worth a visit.
