Silchar (Assam), Mar 9 ONGC, Mumbai, went down to Meghalaya's Lajong FC 1-2 in the last Group A league encounter but still qualified for the final round of qualifiers for the second division I-League Satinda Mohan Dev Stadium, here today.
ONGC topped the group with nine points from four matches and advanced to the final round to be held in Gurgaon along with Lajong FC, who finished second with eight points.
Oil India, Assam, were in with a chance to qualify for final round but a goalless draw with George Telegraph dashed their hopes. They finished the campaign with five points and George Telegraph followed on four.
Bengal Mumbai Football Club finished bottom of the pool with one point.
