Silchar Lok Sabha Election : Election cells formed at Silchar

KARIMGANJ, March 24 – In view of the coming LS polls, election cells have been formed at Silchar to ensure peaceful exercise of voting by the electorates in all the seven Assembly segments.

At a meeting presided over by Gautam Ganguli, DC, Cachar, election matters were discussed. The meeting also discussed the programme of different cells. The officials and teachers to be deputed on poll duty would be provided necessary training. The issue of transportation to reach the polling stations across the district was reviewed.

MA Laskar has been assigned the responsibility of looking after the personnel cell. ADC BC Nath will take care of the EVM and training. N Ghosh, PD, DRDA has been entrusted with EVC, postal ballot and ballot papers while ADC DR Bora will take charge of videography cell. Madhumita Chaudhury, ADC will be in-charge of the observer cell.
