Badaruddin Ajmal was my friend: Tarun Gogoi

SILCHAR, March 25 – “Badaruddin Ajmal is a successful businessman and once upon a time, he was my friend. But now he has forgotten me . The person who can forget his friend, can easily forget the development works assured to the people,” this was stated by Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi in a press meet organised in Congress Bhawan here today.

Gogoi denied that he had taken money for election purpose in Kolkata . “I have not taken money, this is only the conspiracy of opposition,” he strongly added. Gogoi was here for election campaign for Congress candidates Santosh Mohan Dev and LM Suklabaidya for Silchar and Karimjanj LS seats respectively. Gogoi campaigned in five different places in entire Barak Valley.

Gogoi emitted hope for developments not only for Barak Valley but also for entire Assam. He further added that Barak Valley was never ignored, it was a misconception which is prevailing in the minds of the people .

“I am also Chief Minister of Barak Valley:”

Gogoi further said that last five years and from 2001 onwards there has been lots of development works that has taken place in Barak Valley. This was because Congress government is in power both in Centre and State. Presently the country is passing through a financial crisis, this crisis can be solved if Dr Manmohan Singh becomes the PM of the country. ASSAM TRIBUNE
