SILCHAR, April 5: Congress president Sonia Gandhi is expected to address an election rally to make wave for party candidate Sontosh Mohan Dev here on April 11. A district Congress today informed that apart from Sonia, Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee is also scheduled to attend a rally on April 10 in Silchar. Same day BJP president Rajnath Singh will address a public gathering in Hailakandi. Senior Congress leader as well as former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Golam Nabi Azad will speak in a public rally in Silchar either on April 13 or 14. The source in the Congress informed that preparation for the rallys to be attended by high-profile leaders is going in full swing. It is to be noted that Mukherjee’s earlier public meeting in Silchar on last Tuesday was cancelled as the helicopter carrying him could not land here due to cloudy weather. THE SENTINEL
