SILCHAR, April 5: The capitalist system, adopted by the Congress led UPA government as well as the erstwhile BJP led NDA government was to be blamed for the pathetic condition of Barak Valley, the remotest place in the country. Alleging this, the SUCI today asked the voters of Silchar to cast their votes to head a new area of change for betterment. Addressing a public rally here in Silchar the SUCI leader Asit Bhattacharjee said, to thwart the evil design of the co-pilot’s forces, voters should elect a representative to the Lok Sabha who could voice the expectation and aspiration of the common people. He said, as the SUCI candidate, his prosperous career and bright future will be to work for the poor and wretched section of the society. Maintaining that Barak Valley is a victim of utter negligence both by Delhi and Dispur, Bhattacharjee said it was unfortunate that the representatives, irrespective of party they belonged had failed to raise their voice in the Lok Sabha Assembly. Bhattacharjee, has prepared a special economic development package for South Asom. Earlier in a press-meet, Bhattacharee informed that SUCI had this year fielded 40 candidates in Karimganj, Dhubri, Mangaldoi and Baepeta. Interestingly, SUCI leader like Bhattacharjee and Dev had cautioned that though their party had been contesting election, they believed that the system of election in India was not all proper as it had failed to up-hold the basic principle of democracy. On the other hand, the uncontrollable price-rise had almost bulldozed the back –bone of the poor section of the society and democracy lost its basis significance. The most unfortunate indication was that the representatives had miserably failed to voice the aspiration of the common people. Bhattachajee made a scathing attack on the ‘so-called’ left front and maintained that left movement in India are parties like– Congress and BJP. THE SENTINEL
