A Correspondent
NILAMBAZAR, April 12 – This time a government of the Third Front may be formed at the Centre, said Nirmal Dey, secretary of CPI (M), Karimganj district committee. Dey told reporters recently that the NDA government under the Congress have totally failed to meet the hopes and aspirations of the general people of the country.

Citing the Nuclear Agreement of the UPA government, he said such a move would never benefit the people of the country. He maintained that talks are going among– various parties to form an anti-Congres and anti-BJP government at the Centre.

Nirmal Dey criticised the present UPA government for its surrender to the USA in the matter of foreign politics, He said, the UPA government has no moral right to stay in power. The BJP-AGP alliance in the State would not be able to bring development. The Congress may suffer serious losses in the ensuing poll as most of its alliance partners have withdrawn support from UPA.

On the insurgings problem in the state, he said that it could only be resolved through talks and not by police and military force. The government has failed to properly rehabilitate those who came back to the mainstream and as a result, the problem is becoming difficult with the passage of time , day observed.

He expressed the hope that in the interest of change, people would vote for secular candidate in the Karimganj HPC. It should be mentioned here that there is no candidate of the CPI (M) from the Karimganj HPC. ASSAM TRIBUNE
