NILAMBAZAR, April 12 – To carry out the polling process flawlessly, the three poll observers – appointed by the election Commission of India arrived at Karimganj recently.
Anita Tegla, IAS, was appointed to observe the poll in No. 1 Ratabari (SC), 2 Patharkandi and 3 South-Karimganj LAC’s P Oram, senior IRS officer was appointed observer for No. – 3 South-Karimganj and No. 5 Badarpur LAC’s. Tappaji Tukaram, another IAS officer was appointed observer for No. 6 Hailakandi LAC, 7 Katlichora LAC No. 8 Alagapur LAC.
The phone number of the office of the observers at Karimganj circuit house is 03843-266832 and phone number of the office of the Hailakandi Circuit House is 03843-266830.
To help the public for information about the election, the Karimganj district administration has also released the mobile number of the observers. The mobile number of Anila Tegta is 9435661053, P Oram is 9435661059 and 9435661042 is the number of Aappaji Tukaram.
In a joint official meeting of karimganj and hailakandi districts and the political leaders of both the district, the returning officer of No. 1 Karimganj (SC) HPC Dr M Angamothu introduced the election observers.
