From our Staff Reporter
SILCHAR, May 2: A teenager has been murdered allegedly by the brother of his girl friend. The bizarre incident took place in Langlacherra Tea Estate under Udharbond PS.

Debu Chasa (16) a student of Kumbhirgram school was murdered and his body was found by some villagers in a bush just 500 metres away from his residence. His body bore no injury marks, only a black scar on his neck could be seen. Police found a nanchaku (a sport item used in karate) near the body. Local residents informed the police that the nanchaku belonged to one, Debu Orang of nearby Premnagar Basti under Lakhipur PS. Police picked up Orang (20) from his residence on Friday who reportedly admitted that he along with his friend Angurlal Hussain Laskar had killed Debu Chasa.

Laskar was also arrested later. Family members of Chasa informed the police that he went out to play football on Thursday evening but did not return home that night. They filed a missing report with Udharbond PS. Meanwhile, a local source hinted that Chasa was having an affair with Orang’s sister and they were students of the same school in Kumbhirgram. Police today produced Orang and Laskar in the Court and were later sent to police custody. THE SENTINEL
