SILCHAR,July 12 – The Cachar Congress leaders have asked the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee to decide on for the final list of candidates for the municipal polls.
APCC spokesperson Pradip Dutta Roy said that the final list of the candidates would be published after the decision. However, Congress sources here have released a possible list of candidates. Two State leaders – YL Karna and Dilip Bora – left for Guwahati recently with the names of prospective candidates’ from Silchar. But the final list of candidates would be finalized only after receiving the green signal from APCC.
The Cachar BJP also held a meeting to decide the nominees for the municipal elections in Silchar. SOURCE: ASSAM TRIBUNE
