SILCHAR, July 23: The CPM has alleged that the involvement of the Silchar Municipality employees in the election process for the forthcoming Municipality election is a clear violation of civic body election rule.
Dulal Mitra of CPM in a letter to the Cachar Deputy Commissioner apprehended that the engagement of Municipality employees would definitely influence the election process.
Meanwhile, Nagarik Swartha Raksha Sangram Parishad, a non political platform of leading citizens which had fielded eight candidates in the election, also raised the same allegation. SOURCE: THE SENTINEL
