SILCHAR, July 18: Khanen Langthasa, a driver, was reportedly missing along with his vehicle, a Tata Sumo (No. AS-11B-2420) since yesterday. Langthasa, a resident of Harangajao, started for Silchar with passengers in his car here yesterday. Police sources said, Langthasa talked to his family over mobile phone and intimated them that some miscreants had kidnapped him at gunpoint. He had reportedly told his family that he had reached Silchar. Later, his family tried to contact him over phone but his cell phone was switched off. Police sources suspect that Langthasa might have been kidnapped by car-lifters. Langthasa was the owner of the vehicle. SOURCE: THE SENTINEL
