Merchant Union condemns extortion bid in Jiribum

SILCHAR, July 18: The All Jiribum Merchants’ Union strongly condemned the extension bid undertaken by some unknown miscreants on last Monday at Jiribum market, the border town of Manipur, in a press release on Friday. The release stated that the local apex body has appealed to all to refrain from such acts in the future. It asserted that such unwanted acts create fear psychosis among the business community both from within and outside the State.
