VHP leader Arabindra Bhattacharjee passes away

SILCHAR, July 27: Arabindra Bhattacharjee, assistant secretary of the Central Committee of Vishwas Hindu Parishad breathed his last on Sunday at a private nursing home here. He was 78. Bhattacharjee had been staying in Guwahati for a long period for organizational works. He fell ill and returned to his home town following which he was immediately admitted to a private nursing home where he breathed his last. He was bachelor and sacrificed his life to the cause of VHP. Arabindu Bahttacharjee earned fame as a teacher. He was associated with Cachar High School, Nursing Higher Secondary School, Public Higher Secondary School and Adharchand Higher Secondary School. He retired from Adharchand Higher Secondary School in early 90s. In 2002, he was made assistant general secretary of the Central Committee of VHP. Bhattacharjee was associated with RSS also. Sources said, VHP Central Committee leader Pravin Togadia is expected to visit Silchar on August 3 to participate the last rite of Bhattacharjee. SOURCe: THE SENTINEL
