SILCHAR, Aug 6: Congress leader Santosh Mohan Dev avenged the BJP within three-and-a-half months after his defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Dev literally steered his party to a thundering victory in the Silchar Municipality Board election by winning 16 of the 28 wards.
Talking to The Sentinel, Dev said it has been proved again that the denizens of Silchar town actually support the Congress.
He said the BJP took to mudslinging at his wife Bithika Dev who headed the previous Board, but people of the town have realized that the previous Board was sincere in solving civic problems and carrying out various development projects. THE SENTINEL
