SILCHAR, Aug 9: Silchar once again proves its talent in the field of music with Wisdom Academy winning the first prizes in the Bengali and Asomiya categories of All India Chorus Competition held in Delhi recently. The competition was organized by New Delhi-Bengal Association in assistance with the Ministry of Human Resources Department to commemorate the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations. Wisdom Academy won in the Bengali and Asomiya categories.
SMILE, a cultural organization which had sponsored the Wisdom Academy, felicitated the winning team. Deputy Commissioner of Silchar Gautam Ganguly was also present in the felicitation function. Altogether, 31 teams from states like West Bengal, Tripura, Jharkand etc participated in the competition. THE SENTINEL
