SILCHAR, Nov 10: People in Cachar district had a reason to smile today as the Cachar district administration passed an order to supply potatoes and onions to fair price shops from government stocks. Therefore, potatoes and onions were available at Rs 22.50 in the rural areas and Rs 22 in the urban areas from today.
Similarly, onions from Patna were sold at Rs 27.50 in rural and Rs 27 in urban areas. The district administration had earlier said that two fair price shops in a ward would receive government supply in Cachar district currently. THE SENTINEL
