SILCHAR, Nov 10: Misbahur Rahman Laskar, a popular college teacher and social worker, died en route to Guwahati after he suffered from a massive cardiac attack inside the night super bus he was travelling in.
He was rushed to a city hospital from Jorabat in a 108 Mritunjoy ambulance but was declared brought dead in the hospital. He was 47.
Laskar was the working president of the Hailakandi district Jamiat Ulema as well as the former general secretary of district AUDF. Laskar contested unsuccessfully in the 2011 Assembly election in Katlicherra constituency. Laskar, who was also the head of the department of Political Science in Lala Rural College, was the general secretary of Zame Masjid of Lala. THE SENTINEL
