Hand over Mujibur killers to us: Dhaka to New Delhi

NEW DELHI, Dec 5: After handing over ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, military spokesman Raju Baruah and eight others to India, the Bangladesh Government now wants India to reciprocate the gesture by handing over two killers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman — Abud Mumid and Muslim Uddin — to Bangladesh. Dhaka believes they are in India. According to sources, before Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to New Delhi on December 18, arrests of more ULFA leaders in Bangladesh are likely. Sheikh Hasina is likely to raise issues like putting a halt to the Tipaimukh Dam Project, more flow of Teesta river water to Bangladesh, and increased trade between the two countries during her visit.
