The courses at the under graduate level include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Other than the degree courses, there are numerous diploma courses that are made available for the students. The diploma courses include Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Diploma in Psychological Medicine, Diploma in Laryngology and Otology as well as Diploma in Laryngology and Otology.
Other than the degree and diploma courses at under graduate level, there are numerous courses offered at post graduate level. The courses include MD that is Doctor of Medicine and MS that is Master of Surgery. These masters are offered in distinct fields.
The candidate applying for the under graduate courses must have cleared 10+2 from any of the recognized Board with a minimum percentile of 50% in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. For admission, there is an entrance test conducted by the All India as well as state level selection bodies.
For the post graduate courses, it is mandatory for the candidate to have a MBBS degree from reputed medical college. The candidates for the post graduate courses are also selected on basis of entrance tests that are carried out by All India and state level selection bodies.
