SILCHAR, Feb 15: The 10th Convocation of Assam University would be held on February 16 (Monday) at Netaji Auditorium which would begin at 10 am. Dr Anil Kakodkar, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, GOI, will be the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. Shiv Charan Mathur, Governor of Asom and Chief Rector of the University, will be the guest of honour.
Dr Bhupen Hazarika, doyen of music of Assam, Dr S Parshuraman, Director of Mumbai TISS and former Chief Justice of Mumbai and Kolkata High Court would be honoured with D Lit degrees. S Hussain, Vice Chancellor of Hyderabad University and P R Swarup, Director General of CIUDC, New Delhi would be awarded D.Sc degrees.
