I do see a large number of companies flocking and offering jobs NITS students, but can anybody put an estimate of how many of them could actually join those organizations? I doubt its not all that glittering that it seems to be.

I have seen The joining dates being postponed and in some cases even appointments withdrawn and students are in no where, still searching for jobs themselves.

I do not see substantial reason to rejoice for whatever has developed till now. The average student quality has gone high, competition is much higher than what was 2-3 years back to get into NITS.

Just for an example how many student passing 10+2 from Assam gets into NITs. With such an improvement in the student quality who gets admission to the NITs, you expect more in terms of recruitment, more in terms of knowledge and technical knowhow when these students actually come out to look for a job or perform in the first few months in a company.

We need to go a lot more, before we say NITs has got some rank compared to other NITs across the nation.
