Borkhola MLA for relief for storm affected people

SILCHAR, May 13: Borkhola MLA Dr Rumi Nath urged upon Cachar Deputy Commissioner to provide immediate relief to the people of Durbintillapunji. The entire village under Chandranathpur was virtually ransacked by the storm that raged on Sunday night leaving numerous families homeless. Dr Nath asked the District Administration to arrange for immediate relief for the poor families. Meanwhile, Chandranathpur AP member Elizabeth Pakyntein who visited Durbintillapunji, said that almost all the houses of the village were destroyed. Moreover plantations were also badly affected forcing the poor cultivators to an insecure future. She also asked the administration to provide immediate relief to the people who were left homeless.
