SILCHAR, May 3: A minor girl, Arpita Goala, succumbed to her injuries she sustained as her neighbours allegedly pelted stones at her and her mother and sister. Arpita’s father Ramashish Goala of Sildoubi area filed an FIR with the police alleging that his neighbour Monilal Goala, his wife Moinarani and mother Fulmati started pelting stones at his elder daughter Bishakha and his wife Bajanti following a minor scuffle.
They even attacked the house of Ramashish and injured Bajanti and Arpita who were later admitted into Silchar Medical College and Hospital on Friday. They were however released from the hospital on Saturday, but on the same day after reaching home Arpita died. Ramashish alleged that his minor daughter sustained major injuries in the brain which led to her death. There had been no arrest till now.THE SENTINEL
