Dimasa ultras use Cachar corridor to enter Manipur

SILCHAR, Aug 8: Cachar Police Superintendent Prashanta Bhuyan said reports of a Hmar terrorist squad along with a faction of DHD militants unitedly reaching Manipur via Cachar district by skipping the tight security arrangements have been received. He said the team comprises 60 members. The SP said adequate security arrangements will be taken so that terrorist group cannot use the terrains of east Cachar forests as cover to reach Manipur in future. Sources said some terrorist outfits from North Cachar Hills are entering Manipur through Cachar district. Sources also said cadres of the pro-talk faction of DHD that is in ceasefire with the government also entered Manipur. Also, a 30-member terrorist team of the DHD (Jewel) faction from NC Hills entered Jiribum, Manipur on July 30 through the forest areas of Cachar district. THE SENTINEL
