SILCHAR, Aug 7: Jawans of the 11 Field Regiment (Red Shield Division) apprehended a UNLF cadre Jayachandra Singh alias Lekhun (40) from Sibapurikhal village yesterday. Sources said the militant is a resident of Bhishampur village in Manipur. The Army recovered a country made rifle with 50 gm gun powder. The militant was handed over to Jiribum Police Station cadre after interrogation today. THE SENTINEL
