In the midle of river Brahmaputra is a temple of Lord Shiva, in the Umananda island. During  Shiva Ratri this place is like a beehive when pilgrims from island are in the packed boats. For Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims there is a sacred place known as Hajo. National Park of Kaziranga is as Home to fabled one horned Rhinoceros. rare orchids with 44 varieties of the North East region has an orchid house packed of Zoo -Botanical Garden. Assam State Museum is the museum which is biggest among the north east region.
