Silchar's Rajdeep Das topped Assam HS Science 12th Exam

No pressure from parents: Rajdeep

SILCHAR, May 26: He missed the coveted merit list just by eight marks in HSLC. But just in two years, Rajdeep Das bounced back with topping the merit list in the HS Science stream. Rajdeep, son of Rajat Kanti Das, an officer of Bank of Baroda, scored 92.4 per cent to top the list. Talking to The Sentinel, a jubilant Rajdeep said, he had already been qualified for IIT, “but if I do not get chance in a good college, I may opt for medical studies”, he added. Referring to the recent Aamir Khan- starrer mega-hit ‘Three Idiots’, Rajdeep claimed, his parents never pressurized him to opt stream of their choice. “Even I did not have any tight routine. I used to study when I felt to do so”, a confident Rajdeep, who spent his leisure time with computer game, confided. He, however, admitted that he had taken private tuition for all the subjects except Alternative English. Rajdeep said, he was confident, this time his name would definitely figure in the merit list. “But believe me, I did not dream of the top position. Its absolutely a surprise bonus”. THE SENTINEL
