Ajmal faces challenge from BMSSC

SILCHAR, Feb 7: AUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal’s plan to contest in the forthcoming general election got a major jolt when the newly formed Banskandi Madrasa Sartha Surukha Committee openly alleged that Ajmal wanted to weaken the Banskandi Darul Uloom Madrasa to make his own Madrasa at Hojai stronger.

Ajmal, who was the working president of the governing body of Banskandi Madrasa, a prominent place of education among the Muslim populace in India, also faced the charge of shielding a corrupt coterie of the Madrasa.

Addressing a press meet here today, Banskandi Madrasa Sartha Surukha Committee president Tafazzul Ali Laskar said in spite of their repeated requests, Ajmal intentionally avoided them.

Laskar said they were invited by Ajmal yesterday night inside the Madrasa to discuss the issue, but instead they had to face trouble and some how evaded physical assault.

Laskar, directly accusing Ajmal of hatching ploy to harass them, said the AUDF president runs a Madrasa at Hojai, and hence intentionally wanted to destabilize the Banskandi Madrasa, where student intake reduced to mere 500 from 1,400 eight years ago. source: the sentinel assam
